Today I did an interview with one of our Personal Lines Extraordinaire, Scott Zulager. You can find him on facebook

 Me: So where are you from?

Scott: I was born and raised in Burbank. Then I moved to Simi Valley in 1991 and to Moorpark in 2005.

Me: What do you like to do in your free time?

Scott: I like to fish and hunt

Me: Do you own any pets?

Scott: Yes, I have 2 labs: Rocky and Dash.

Me: How long have you been in the insurance industry?

Scott: Since December of last year so only about 11 months

Me: How did you come to work for Insurance Brokers West?

Scott: Daniel Groff discovered my talent and connections around town. He then courted me to join his company. (Laughs)

Me: What did you dream of being when you were a child?

Scott: I wanted to be a professional baseball player, but then I found I enjoyed football and basketball more.

Me: What is your dream car?

Scott: I don’t really have a favorite car, I just like trucks. I don’t know if I could go back to driving a car.

Me: How has insurance changed your outlook on life?

Scott: I like being in the insurance industry because I can help protect other peoples assets. I also help save people money and make sure they have proper insurance coverage.

Me: What is your favorite movie?

Scott: Wedding Crashers would have to be my favorite movie.

Me: If your life was to be made into a movie, who would you want to play you?

Scott: Adam Sandler, he is a very funny guy, it would be interesting to see him play me.

Me: Since it’s now November tell me about your favorite Thanksgiving moment:

Scott: My favorite moment would have to be the Thanksgiving about 11 years ago; where my dad was able to join us after having emergency surgery in Texas. He was able to make it home in time to celebrate it with his family. 

Me: What is your favorite album?

Scott: I don’t really have a favorite album, I like many different types of music but my favorite musical artist would probably be Garth Brooks

Me: What are your favorite sports teams?

Scott: I am a UCLA fan all the way.

Me: If you were stranded on an island what three things would you choose to have with you?

Scott: I would want to bring my fishing gear, a gun, and a lifetime supply of dr. pepper

Me: If you could travel to any place in the world where would you want to go?

Scott: Tahiti, a nice tropical relaxing place

Me: What is your most common weekend activity?

Scott: I would most likely be found at a sports function with my kids.

Me: So you have any children?

Scott: Yes, 3 kids, 2 girls and one boy. We have Zach 11, Madison 7, and Reiley 9
